Are You Done Healing Yet?
Someone once asked me this and I instantly felt confused, invalidated and curious about the answer. Does healing ever end? After being on this self-awareness and compassion journey for almost 5 years, I have learned that healing is whatever it means to you. To me, healing is a daily expansion, a curiosity, a daily practice of awareness of strengths and flaws. And a compassion for the whole process.
To me, healing never ends. It was a hard decision to accept because in the beginning I thought healing meant I was flawed, not whole. This meant I felt an urgency to heal. A desperation to feel enough. But now that I know I'm whole and healing, it's the most liberating way to live. For me this was the ultimate mindset shift. Instead of fighting fear, I now meet it with curiosity, while carrying gratitude in my heart. I'm excited to see what this new chapter will bring me.
What does healing mean to you? What does it look like? I'm curious to hear from you in the comments ♥︎
Love,
Annika
I would like to congratulate you on your beautiful and serene life. How I long to live in the embrace of nature, among the plants and the sounds of birds, where peace and tranquility prevail, far from the noise and trivialities of city life.
I wonder about your interests; what topics do you enjoy writing about? I'd love to know what occupies your mind and heart. I, too, love writing, as it's my way of expressing and sharing my thoughts with others. Perhaps we share similar ideas; let's exchange the visions and perspectives we hold about this world.
Thank you for your kind congratulations. It was a lot of hard inner work to get here. And the biggest lesson I have is that I was the only one standing in my way. I had to learn to not be my worst enemy and work with the fear to go after my dreams. I've learned the fear never goes away. You just have to have the courage in your heart to take the action anyway. The more you do this over and over again, you start to feel like a superhero of your own life. It's amazing and hope I can inspire people to feel this feeling about themselves.
Nature is an incredible support in those lonely times and moments of despair. Somehow you find yourself in nature. It's incredible. It takes time and a thousand tears. But eventually the clouds part and the light within you shines as bright as the sun above. Always connected!
To answer your question, this is what occupies my mind and heart: humanity as creators and healers. To break it down...healing messages, spirituality, nature, creativity, my ancestral roots, Swedish nature and culture, the sea, the water, the sky.
I'm glad you have also found a medium for your creative outlet. Keep writing! 🙏🥰❤️
What a shortsighted comment 😅 I'm sorry you felt invalidated.
I think healing is very important to help someone grow. If you are aware you are in need of healing, I think you already completed step 1 of healing! Of course there are many forms of healing, like inner child healing, healing after a long day of stress and there is also healing through animals and water!
I have found that healing can be such a misunderstood word. It's wonderful to hear how everyone interprets it differently. It's whatever it means to you. And I agree with you, Eileen that healing is very important to help someone grow. Having that self-awareness, desire to grow from a place of curiosity instead of lack is so important. Especially in laying the foundation for authentic growth and transformation.
I feel like I've learned so much from my journey and felt so inspired to share here. I'm glad my presence online is already having such a positive impact on people. It helps me feel purpose in all the hardship I went through. We are all learning and healing every day, and that makes life exciting.
Have a beautiful day ꨄ
