A Heavy Heart

Today I walked down from my childhood summer home to the water, where I reflected on a big scare that the island faces right now. One of Sweden's largest telecoms company plans to build a mast right here on the island. This will affect the people living here in many different ways.

Personally, it affects me because this place gives me a sense of belonging, emotional healing, and inner security. As many of you know I came here in January 2024 to heal my autoimmune issues through living a peaceful and authentic life close to the nature that inspires my creative expression.

Where I filmed today is my favourite spot on the island, and has been since I was 12 years old. Now in a strange way I feel like this big company is taking that feeling away from me, and replacing it with fear, uncertainty, and almost a sense of hopelessness.

Joy was felt being outside surrounded by the nature here and grounded by my friend, the gentle sleeping rock giant. But my heart was also heavy at the idea of building more on this beautiful magical island.
